Principality house
Spread across 8 floors our aim was to re-imagine the existing workspace and encourage a new hybrid way of working that promotes collaboration as well as quiet focused zones. We wanted to transform the traditional, corporate office space into an agile, interesting working environment. Our design team worked with the client to give each floor an identity. We utilised their brand’s secondary colour palette and a design was established that showed a softer, more homely side to the new office.
After two years of home working the focus was around bringing people back together, so collaboration was a key thought however we wanted to provide staff with a full range of working environments so quiet spaces, wellbeing rooms, multi-faith and social areas were also created. Both the client and designers were keen to reuse and recycle where possible, therefore we have incorporated existing elements and sent all previous carpets to be recycled. Much of the furniture and fabric was picked for both their aesthetic appeal and their sustainable properties.
